Its been an amazing year those who believe in the green lifestyle. The world is waking up to our cause. Never has the threat been clearer, never the will to change stronger.

The second annual Observer Ethical Awards aims to celebrate those people and organisations that are making green mainstream.

The categories, that include campaigner of the year, politician of the year, DIY award, invention of the year and best local/on-line retailer of the year - sponsored by the Ecologist, aim to reflect the growing diversity and power of the green movement.

Entry details can be found at observer.co.uk/ethicalawards. The awards sponsor Ecover has provided awards for each category including £2,000 per year for three years for the winner of the young campaigner award to put towards their campaign.

The closing date for nominations is march 2nd.
